hat

In 3d class this past week we were assigned a partner to ask twenty questions and make a gift. I was partnered with Alex. The gift I made him is the type of gift you didn't know you wanted until it is given to you. A really big hat. It is constructed with cardboard, paper mache and fabric. I think it looks great on him, but Alex didn't even want to wear it home. I think he was embarrassed.
He doesn't know what he is missing. This hat is obviously a babe magnet.

3d foundation class

This past week we were assigned a project in which we had to make a "tool". But not really anything that is really that useful. One girl made a pencil straightener. So if there were a bunch of pencils laying on the floor she would run this thing over them and they would be moved into a straight line. But there would be still be a bunch of pencils on the floor. It was done well, but totally useless. You catch my drift.
So I was having trouble coming up with an idea. Finally my prof. approved of one. It is a urinal stand. It is placed in front of the urinal in the men's bathroom so there is no chance of spraying on the floor. It's height is adjustable for all sizes.
Now each of the inventions had to be demonstrated by their maker. Being that I am a woman I had a dilemma. My prof. suggested I make a male "form" out of cardboard in order to demonstrate.
On Wednesday, the day of the critique, I brought in the urinal stand. At the beginning of my presentation I sat the stand in front of the wall, I asked the class to imagine we were in the bathroom. I went around the corner and positioned my prosthetic penis. I quickly came around the corner got up to the urinal stand and adjusted it to my height (to show its functioning movement) and acted as if I really had to go, noises and all. The class was hysterical. Needless to say I was blushing. It was funny and embarrassing at the same time.
My prof. loved it. Tried it out herself, and commented on the excellent craftsmanship.
Yeah! for me.
